What can I say? Last year (2021) was a whirlwind of BUSY – so much so – that I hardly posted any new content at all! I took a sabbatical from social media, and really from blogging all together it seems. It was a much needed break though and I’m glad that I did it! Sometimes it’s necessary to step back to get a fresh perspective of things – try it sometime!
Just to give you a brief recap of 2021:
Our church hosted its very first Easter community event, as well as its first Ladies Day. Both were successful events!
I attended a Ladies Conference in Pigeon Forge, TN, and hosted my first pop-up shop.
I designed 3 new mugs for my shop.
We visited Montana for Summer vacation. (I did blog about this trip!) You can read all about it here if you missed it.
I was asked to be the photographer for our church conference 100 year anniversary. It was such an honor!
My oldest son ran Cross-Country and played Basketball with his school for the first time. All of the practices, races, games, and award ceremonies kept all of us busy for several months straight!
My husband, 2 boys, and myself ran our first 5k. At our second 5k race, I earned my very first medal for my age group – it was for 3rd place, haha, but I was proud of it!
I became “Nanny” to the most adorable little girl who’s mom is a sweet friend. It’s been so much fun having her around!
Sadly, I had to say goodbye to my little Yorkie, Duchess, as she passed away unexpectedly.
The boys and I accompanied Micah on a work trip to Charlotte, NC, during Thanksgiving.
My sister-in-law’s, sister, and I took a girls trip to Helen, Ga.
My husband, 2 boys, and I visited the Biltmore House during Christmas. It was beautiful!
These are just a few of the highlights from last year. Busy was an understatement for us; however, it was a great year! I do regret that I didn’t blog about some of the more important events at the time because it’s so nice to look back and remember specific details from trips, etc. So….if you see some super late posts popping up from last year…I’m going to slowly but surely write a couple of posts here and there to keep while the memories are fresh!
