We normally don’t travel a whole lot during the Christmas holidays except to see our immediate families. This year, however, we decided to mix it up and getaway the week before Christmas. It was so enjoyable and just what we needed! I won’t take a lot of time to explain our trip in words, but will let the pictures do the talking…
First Stop: Ellijay, GA (Coffee!)
Coffee Shop: Ellijay Coffeehouse

Second Stop: Asheville, NC
Coffee Shop: Double D’s Coffee & Desserts

The Cove – Billy Graham Training Center: Back during Thanksgiving, we had the opportunity to visit the Billy Graham museum and homeplace in Charlotte, NC. We decided to stop by his training center this trip since we were in the area. It’s one of the prettiest facilities and chapels I have ever seen! (It’s my dream to host a ladies retreat here one day.) 🤍

The Biltmore House: If you’re looking for something fun and memorable to do at Christmas time, I highly recommend this! Although it’s a bit pricey, it’s worth it with all there is to see! (Be sure to note the immaculate gingerbread house replica of the house – toward the end of the photos!)

3rd Stop: Pigeon Forge, TN
Comedy Barn: I didn’t take any photos here, but we had the best time! This is such a great place for families to go for good, clean, fun!
Cruze Farm Dairy: This is the cutest little ice cream shop! I got the Affogato: a shot of espresso poured over ice cream. So good!

Coffee Shops: Black Rifle Coffee Company & The Tennessee Grind: Coffee and Tea

4th and Final Stop: Nashville, TN
We attended a Christmas concert at the Ryman Auditorium with Natalie Grant and Danny Gokey – the duet that has vocals like no other! While there, it was such a pleasant surprise to meet Kari Jobe, who was also attending the concert. 🤍

Our trip, for a majority, was graciously covered by a monetary Christmas gift from our church. We’re so appreciative for the getaway that was good for us – heart, mind, and soul! 🤍 Merry Christmas everyone!
