Tulum, Mexico

We were blessed to be able to go on a #worktrip to Tulum, Mexico πŸ‡²πŸ‡½ for a few days last week. My husband and I have been to Mexico a couple of times before with work, but this was our first time to visit Tulum, and it was also our first time to bring our kids! We love traveling with our boys…it’s so much more fun when we travel together!

Just for a brief overview…our accommodations were at the Dreams Resort, which is an all inclusive resort…meaning that all the food, room service, and beverages were free for us! Let me just tell you how much the boys loved that! Ha! “Let’s order some pizza!Β Let’s order some macaroni and cheese!Β Let’s order.…” (Well, you get the idea…!) Micah and I also took full advantage of ordering drinks while we were there because it was SO hot!! They had the best fruit drinks, and their sparkling water tasted amazing! They also had the prettiest desserts! (Random, I know! πŸ˜‰)

Aside from the great room service, the resort and the landscaped grounds were very beautiful…a tropical paradise to say the least!

Our room was very nice, and the beds were actually comfortable! Haha If you travel very often, you know that this is not always the case at hotels!

One night during our stay, we had authentic Mexican food for dinner at the outside terrace. We were also entertained with Spanish singing and music. This was a pretty cool experience especially for the boys! Kaleb loved practicing some Spanish words while we were there!

We also enjoyed walking through the local booths and seeing all the beautiful handcrafted items.

The picture below is the restaurant that we ate at the most (besides ordering room service!) It was a buffet with a wonderful variety of different foods!

We saw so many wedding parties while we were there…Someone said there was a total of 44 weddings last week!! But really…isn’t this wedding chapel adorable?!

More so than ordering room service, the boys favorite part of Mexico was seeing ALL the iguanas! They were everywhere, literally!!

My favorite part was being with these 3, and not picking up my phone for nearly the entire time. Try that sometime…leave your phone behind. It won’t be a distraction for your time with family, and it will do your mind so good!!

Friends, this is Tulum. ❀️ I left with only one souvenir that Micah bought me at the Cancun airport, and I wasn’t disappointed one bit. πŸ˜‰
