Weekend Road Trip

It was the end of Summer break, and the boys were getting ready to go into the new school year…first and third grade, so why not?!

With that being said, we decided to do an overnight trip to Chattanooga and take the boys to see Ruby Falls. We have done a lot of thing with the boys over the years, but we have never taken them to see the inside of a cave! (And its such a boy thing to do!)

We arrived Friday evening and took the boys to walk across the famous walking bridge, Walnut Street Bridge. (If you ever visit Chattanooga, make sure to do this!) It’s a beautiful walk! We walked across and went into the downtown area, and just happened to come across the cutest little coffee shop. (And of course we stopped!) My favorite coffee during the summer is an iced caramel latte or an iced white chocolate mocha, without whipped cream or sugar.  You can’t really go wrong with either of these!

The following day, we went to Ruby Falls. The boys thought it was totally cool to go inside a cave! I enjoyed visiting caves as a child, but somehow I felt much more claustrophobic this time! Ha! The boys were able to make an enjoyable memory, and thats what matters to me! It was a great trip, and I can’t wait until our next adventure!
