Gulf Shores 2020

My sweet Mama turns #60 today, so we decided to spend a few days with her, my Daddy, and sister earlier this week in the warm Alabama sunshine. The gulf coast is my favorite! Our idea of a vacation is to sleep in, relax, and not have a schedule – and that’s just what we did! It was great to enjoy a little R&R with my family.

We stayed at a condo just across the street from the Gulf Shores Beach. I’m always a little skeptical about reserving places to stay online when I haven’t seen in them in person before, but this particular condo, Sea Breeze, had such good reviews that we decided to go ahead and book it! The reviews lived up to our expectations! Our room was very clean, cozy, and only a short walk to the beach.

One of my favorite things to do when we travel is to explore new coffee shops. Micah is always great about mapping them out for me! It was especially fun having my Daddy along to sample the coffee with me! The first one we visited is called Beach Girl Coffee. It is the cutest little drive-thru coffee shop I have ever seen! It’s so classy and chic. I loved it and definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

The next coffee shop we visited, The Southern Grind Coffee House, is just outside of Gulf Shores in Orange Beach. This coffee shop had absolutely everything that I love – Coffee, candles, devotionals, farmhouse style decor, and they even had treats for your doggies!

The third coffee shop we visited, The Drowsy Poet Coffee Company, is in Foley just outside of Gulf Shores. It used to be a little automotive shop that they turned into a coffee shop. So so cute!!

One of my favorite places that we ate while we were there was the Sunliner Diner. It’s honestly the cutest little diner I have ever seen and the food was delicious!

We spent our last day together all day long at the Gulf State Park. It was less than 5 miles from our condo. I really love State Park beaches. They are so clean and a lot more secluded than the public beaches are! We took a picnic for lunch and Micah delivered pizza to us for dinner. It was the perfect ending to our family time! I realized after the fact that I made hardly any family pictures while we were there. But honestly, some of the best memories you have are those in your heart. 💛

Until next time! 💛
